  • A highly experienced sales team – our 5 representatives each average 30 years plus experience in the trade.
  • National representation in the UK and Ireland – we visit independent bookshops, gift shops, art galleries, museums and other niche retail outlets.
  • Close liaison with bookshop, galleries and museum buyers to maximise opportunities for exhibition tie-ins; events and signing sessions.
  • Dedicated Key Account Manager responsible for regular presentations to Waterstones and day-to-day liaison work with individual buyers.
  • Dedicated Key Account Managers for WHSmith, Blackwell, Bertrams, Gardners and Bookspeed.
  • Regular liaison with all major on-line accounts – sharing new title information with individual buyers and sharing special seasonal/themed promotions with our publishers.
  • Regular cycle of targeted bookshop calls when our dedicated sales team visit accounts to ‘hand-sell’ titles.
  • General advice on publication schedules, pricing, and promotional campaigns.
  • Full-time managed office for all your general enquiries and access to sales team.

What we expect of you

  • An accessible point of contact who is able to make key decisions and respond quickly to requests for information.
  • Accurate feed of ADVANCED information about new titles (we ask for a six months lead in time).
  • Professionally prepared AIs that provide information for each new title.
  • Regular publicity up-dates telling us about events that authors are attending, signing sessions, newspaper and other media articles, interviews etc.
  • To keep in regular contact with us – by phone or email so we have a good handle on all your activities and future plans.

How we work together

We believe in working together as a team and we invest a lot of time in developing strong relationships with our publishers. We represent a broad range of publishers and this means we have a large selection of interesting and varied books to bring to market. We value this diversity and are always mindful of our portfolio when taking on new lists.
